Yes, our neurodevelopmental screening service is available for a wide range of age groups, with tools tailored to each developmental stage. We offer: • Screening for children under 7 years – completed by a parent or caregiver. • Screening for children aged 7 to 16 years – also completed by a parent or caregiver. • Self-report screening for adolescents aged 10 to 17 years, alongside optional caregiver input. • Self-report screening for adults aged 18 years and older. Each screening pathway uses age-appropriate questionnaires and generates a summary letter that reflects the individual’s current strengths and areas that may benefit from further support or assessment.

A screening provides a brief overview of current functioning based on questionnaires. It helps identify whether further, in-depth diagnostic assessment may be needed. A full assessment involves comprehensive testing and clinical interviews to explore diagnoses in detail.

No, this screening service is not eligible for Medicare or NDIS funding. It is a privately billed service and payment is required at the time of booking.

No, payment for the screening service is final and non-refundable, regardless of whether you complete the required questionnaires. We encourage all clients to complete the assessments promptly to ensure you receive the full benefit of the service.

Ensure you or your child are in a quiet, comfortable space when completing the questionnaires. Answer honestly based on typical behaviour. Caregivers should complete questionnaires independently and to the best of their knowledge.

The neurodevelopmental screening letter provides a concise summary of findings from the initial screening process. It is not a diagnostic report, but rather a tool to guide whether further assessment may be helpful in understanding an individual’s strengths, challenges, or support needs. The letter typically includes: • A brief explanation of the screening process and its purpose. • A summary of questionnaire outcomes, reflecting key domains of functioning such as learning, behaviour, emotional wellbeing, social interaction, and everyday life skills—based on the person's age and presenting concerns. • Interpretive comments that clarify whether observed patterns fall within expected ranges, suggest emerging difficulties, or indicate concerns that may warrant further evaluation. • Recommendations about next steps, such as whether a comprehensive assessment is advisable or whether monitoring and current supports may be sufficient at this time. This document is intended to support informed decision-making for individuals, families, and professionals considering further diagnostic evaluation or tailored interventions.

You can expect to receive your neurodevelopmental screening letter within up to 10 business days from the date all required assessments are completed. Please note that the letter cannot be finalised until all questionnaires have been returned. Delays in completing the assessments may extend the turnaround time.

If you’ve booked the consult-inclusive option, a psychologist will meet with you via telehealth to discuss the results and next steps. If you did not book this option, you are welcome to contact us to schedule a separate consult (fees apply).
